Live to ride another day!

Horse rider massage is a specialist area of the business suitable for all horse riders, horse owners, grooms, stable staff, yard owners, riding instructors, jockeys and crew.

As Kerry’s main passion is her horses and long distance riding, she has now opted to merge her equestrian knowledge with her knowledge of holistic therapies and help horse riders to improve their own well being and performance.

The massage treatments help alleviate tension and sore muscles, in exactly the same way an equine massage does for your horses.

We all know that horse riding is a physically demanding sport and as our horses are unpredictable, injuries will inevitably sometimes occur.  Being injured is something every rider experiences at some point during their sporting life but Kerry has the experience and knowledge to return you quickly and safely back to the saddle.

If you feel stiff and sore from a fall, a pulling horse, a refusal to jump, or even just doing your stable duties, filling water buckets and heavy haylage nets, then a Little Oak Complementary Therapies massage will help to reduce your recovery time, restore normal function and get you back doing all the activities the pain has stopped you from doing.

Kerry's treatments are enormously helpful in releasing strained back and leg muscles as well as stiff necks and shoulders.  Some riders feel that after one of Kerry's treatments, they are more conscious of their riding posture and how this influences their horse's movement.  Using specific muscle manipulation techniques, key leg and back muscles can relax, and tension in the thigh, pelvis and lower back is released helping to keep you injury free and allowing you to once again work in harmony with your horse.

Don't neglect yourself and ignore your injury until you are no longer comfortable in or out of the saddle.  A rider's problem often becomes an issue for the horse and any stiffness within the rider will cause balance and postural problems, which are then passed directly onto your horse influencing how he moves.  Pelvic imbalances may cause unlevel shoulders, difficulty with ridden work on one rein, or problems with balance.  Unlock the stiffness and tension that could be holding you and your horse back, care for yourself and assist your horse's performance and health.

Improve your balance in the saddle, increase your competitive edge, learn to manage your tension, become more flexibile and body aware, be more in tune with your horse.  Ride with greater ease, improve your seat, posture, fitness and performance.  Help your horse by changing your own 'way of going'.  Call Kerry and let her ease away those aches and pains.
